The Top 5 Wedding Welcome Gift and Wedding Favor Tips

Whether you're hosting a 3 day weekend-long wedding extravaganza, or just one perfect night to be surrounded by family and friends, welcome gifts are a great way to get the party started for everyone in attendance. What better way to say "time to party!" than having welcome gifts in every room of the room block before the big day? While there's no such thing as one perfect welcome gift, and there's no exact science to them, we have some fool-proof items that can be included to help you get started on the best. weekend. ever!

 1. Gift them something that relates to the wedding location. Even if you're hosting your wedding locally, it's likely that you'll have some people traveling to the destination. Regardless, we absolutely love to have a nod towards the town, city or state that the ceremony and reception are being held. Some of our favorite? Maptote tote bags or bookmarks that include a map, but there are truly unlimited options when it comes to this.

2. Gift them something for their hangover(s). Whether you have an open bar, or you're just toasting to the marriage with a glass of champagne, it's pretty likely that your guests will end up with a slight headache at best, and a full-fledged hangover at worst. We love including a hangover remedy in welcome bags, whether that's a water and Advil or Hangover patches and Morning Recovery.

3. Gift them something sweet (or savory). Snacks are the way to most people's hearts, and they're the best way to ward off any hangry guests. We love including a customized bag of popcorn by The Art of Caramel, or some Sugarfina candy cubes. Again, these are a great way to reenforce a theme, but a simple bag of chips or pretzels can go a long way, too!

4. Wedding weekend accoutrements. Another way we love to personalize welcome gifts is by throwing in any travel-sized products that guests might need come wedding weekend. Is the ceremony taking place on the beach? Throw in some sunscreen. Is the reception outdoors in the woods? We know the perfect bug spray to include!

5. Itinerary. Whether guests are just staying for one night, or you have a whole weekend of events planned for your attendees, we find it extra special (and helpful!) to include an itinerary of what to expect over the course of the day(s) and nights(s). We recommend including both times and locations of each event, and a little graphic design or illustration doesn't hurt either.

Have more questions about putting together welcome gifts for your upcoming wedding or event? We can help! Want to handle for yourself, but need a one-stop-shop to buy inclusions? You can do that here. Want to pick the products but have us handle the rest? We can do that, too.
