3 Pieces Of Advice For Gifting A 20-Something Year Old

Posted by BOXFOX TEAM on

In honor of that NEW NEW BIRTHDAY BOXFOX (now that’s something to celebrate!), we’re serving up three pieces of advice every 20-something year old needs to know when it comes to birthday gifting. Let’s be honest, gifting at this age seems a little daunting, but SURPRISE! we’re here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be. Take it from the gifting experts, we’ve got you covered. Grab that piece of cake, cake, cake and read along. //

PACKAGING

Let’s set the record straight: If it’s not tucked into crinkle, packed in nude, topped with a handwritten card, and wrapped in a beautiful black bow, you’re doing it wrong. But we’re here to tell you it’s more than just the outside that matters (I’m sure you’ve heard that before), but it’s what inside that counts, too. Pay attention to what you’re buying, don’t just throw it into your cart, visualize how it’s all going to come together. What we like to do when we’re playing around with build is select a bunch of products that we want and visualize them all together in the BOXFOX. You’d be surprised how far one simple exercise goes. Use colors that complement each other so they’re visually pleasing to the eye while also picking products that pair well together.

PRICING

Stay within a reasonable price point. Don’t overdo it, but it’s also important not to underdo it. There’s a fine line between what’s reasonable and what’s not, so be tasteful with your gifting. Think about your relationship with this person and how you both have gifted eachother in the past and base your budget off of that. For milestone birthdays, i.e. 25, it’s completely reasonable to go anywhere from $50-$100 depending on your relationship.

PURPOSE

You’ve heard the phrase, “it’s the thought that counts.” The most important takeaway when gifting is this: Always gift with intention. Know why you’re doing something, don’t just do it. If your heart isn’t in the process, most likely, it’ll be reflected in the gift. Think carefully about what they like, or knowing their personality, what you think they’d be happy to receive. If you’re ever in a bind, break down their personality; when it’s not the weekend, they’re a clean eater. Consider gifting them our EAT BEAUTIFUL cookbook and make them a blush-themed BOXFOX.

With this advice, you’re ready to tackle the task. Head to build a BOXFOX and get to gifting or shop our birthday BOXFOX!
